First of all, before attempting anything, make sure that all your drivers (and most important the graphic card drivers) are up to date and also that your computer meets the minimum system requirements for Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. If everything is OK but you still have problems, it’s time to start fixing!
How to fix Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands black screen?
Open regedit, search for “AlternateVerticalSyncThreshold”. Unless you have multiple Ubi games installed, it should immediately give you PoP’s registry key. It should look something like Software->Ubisoft->Prince of Persia – The Forgotten Sands->1.000000000->Engine
Right-click the folder called 1.000000000 and rename it to 1.0.

The black screen prob can be fixed through the compatibility option as told above & the loading screen prob was fixed when I re-installed the game. (try minimizing & maximizing too[for both the problems])

Hello There Friends I have the solution for the blackscreen Bug when you start your game and the annoying blackscreen appears press the *enter* key you will see a glowing cursor and after 5 or 8 seconds the game will start hope the trick worked for you cause it worked for me

Dude I opened the game with 98 &me it opens perfectly but on loading it shows close the program and sometimes it opens and suddenly shows again close the program what to do plz plz plz help

hey!! everyone ,i have also the same problem the game crashes on startup. but soon ill find a solution i think tomorrow cause my brother had this game a year ago and it was running fine on his laptop,so tomorrow i will ask him he would definitely solve it and i will tell you the method after that ,cause he is a computer enginner and and he can solve any problem ,he solved many problems of game like this and many other,so wish me luck so i would succed

I have the same problem guys.A black screen occurs and after some blinking the black screen goes off and there it says that prince of Persia has stopped working.And when we view problem deatail it says APPCRASH. I’ve tried everything that you guys have told me to do.and I have full system requirements.please please can anyone help me to slove this black screen problem.thank you!
